Happy Happy Wednesday!

A little bit of motivation for you and me!
Good afternoon to all of you fancy people out there!!!  I have been slammed busy and sooooo exhausted the past two days since the kiddos came back to school.  I am sure I am not the only one feeling it!  Like a good girl I went ahead and weighed myself this morning.  Unfortunately, the results were less than awesome.  I actually gained a little over a pound.  I am sure that had something to do with not exercising yesterday and going over my calories a couple times this weekend!

My current weight is 160.2...I'm okay with that (last week I was 159.0).  The only sucky part it seems is that I have to be a constant watchdog over my food consumption.  Can't a girl have a little fun....geez!!!

Well, I completed the 30 Day Shred this morning before heading to work.  My biggest two issues I am having since going back to work are:  1.  Having the energy to exercise and 2.  Finding time to eat enough during the school day.  As I am sitting her typing away I am starving my ass off (Ha-I wish!) and that makes it REALLY difficult to not get a bit too snack happy late in the day before dinner.  I have found over the years that the hours between 3-5 are my scary time.  You know the time that could ruin my whole day of amazingly healthy eating.

Do you have a scary time?  When is it?

A little disappearing act

Why hello there.  It has been so long and I have missed you!  I have really enjoyed writing on my blog this summer, but the summer is over (sad face) and I have had to put on my working girl pants....

Yes friends, I am a teacher and my days of frolicking in the sun are over.  I have been SO busy trying to get my classroom set and all of the 50,000 other things required of me out of the way.  The scary news is I have yet to write a lesson plan and do not have my act together for Tuesday, because I was caught up in completing all of the paperwork and other fun legal aspects I am required to do as a Special Education teacher. Never fear, I will get my act together!  I am going to spend my Sunday doing just that.  Yayyyy!!! ;)

I did not weigh myself on Wednesday like I was supposed to...for good reason.  I did a little bit LOT of eating and drinking on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Whoops!  The stress of getting myself set up for the year got to me.  I didn't even exercise.  I simply had no energy left by the time I was done with work for the day. By Thursday though I turned it around and started exercising at 5:00 a.m. (yes you read that right) which has really been a great solution.  My goal is to keep it up during the school year.  I thought early morning exercising would really suck, but it was not so bad!

Like a good girl, I weighed myself yesterday morning.  Here are the results:

Current Weight:  159.0

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Somehow I managed to lose more weight and I wasn't even tracking my calories or anything.  How did that happen?? I don't know and I don't care!  I am so happy to be out of the 160s AND down 7.2 pounds!!!!  Whooty!!

I hope to keep up with the blogging, but if I don't make it happen as often....please forgive me!

For now I will leave you with some pics of my classroom.  I still need to add a few things here and there, but I think it is pretty sweet!  Have a great Sunday!

Success Baby!

Hello all!  I have kinda committed a disappearing act on my blog this past week.  Sorry for that!

However, my diet plan has been in full swing!  This week I have been extremely diligent about counting my calories and exercising.  It has SOOOOOOOOO paid off!

(Starting Weight:  166.2)
Feeling strong...yes, you can laugh at me!

Last Week:  165.0
Current:       161.4

I have lost 4.8 pounds since I began this blog.

 I'm happy FREAKING INSANELY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

I can't say I have done anything crazy to get the weight to finally start coming off.  I have been counting my calories on My Fitness Pal (which I LOVE!!!---if anyone else out there uses this program send me your username!), and alternating between Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and the Couch to 5K program.

(My Child Totally took this photo...can you tell;)
Has anyone else experienced success this past week with their fitness goals?  Holla at me...I wanna keep the good vibes going!!

Weighing-In as promised

Good morning my friends!  Today is a good day...and I bet you know why;)

I lost some weight!  Woohoo!

Starting Weight 166.2
Current Weight 165.0

Things that have worked for me:

Counting Calories.  I hate doing it, but it's working

Drinking Water....LOTS of water.

Exercising differently.  I have changed up my workout routine. again.

Drinking wine is something I love do at night.  Sadly, I cut that out to see if it would help, but it didn't make a difference...so why am I going to torture myself??  The wine is back!  I just add it into my calorie count.

Positive Attitude! This has made a huge difference.  It is sooooo easy to be negative and finally it clicked that I need to put a stop to that.

It feels so good to be down!  Now I really need to keep up this momentum instead of losing it as I have done in previous weeks.  Wish me luck!

PS-Later this week I will be sharing my new and improved workout routine with ya'll!

Recipe Review: Peanut Butter Bites

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! This afternoon I want to share with you a snack that is healthy (score!) and tasty (double score!!).  Hey...I know you are thinking that it couldn't get any better than that, but it does.....it is also freaking easy!! Whooty!!

Peanut Butter Bites

Ingredients:

2 Cups Unsalted Peanuts, Roasted Peanuts
2 Cups Pitted Dates (that means find whole dates and take out the nut....in case you are like me and had no clue...seriously I didn't!)
1 TB. Maple Flavor

Directions:

1.  Take the pit out of the dates
2.  Place the peanuts in the food processor and process peanuts until they are a flower-like consisteency (overdoing it=peanut butter)
3.  Add the dates a couple at a time and blend until the mixture clumps together.  You should be able to roll a ball from the mixture in your hands and it sticks.
4.  Add the maple flavor and blend for about 10 seconds.
5.  Use your hands and roll the mixture into 20 balls.
6.  Place on a plate and they are ready to be devoured!
